Are dark spots getting in the way of your glow? The experts at Waxing the City have a new, all-natural, dermatologist-approved skin brightening service. In just one treatment, clients can see results that lighten hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage, melasma, stretch marks, scarring, and anything that leaves your skin less than glowing.
The Bryght skin brightening treatment works by targeting only the excess melanin in the skin by inhibiting an enzyme in your skin called tyrosinase, which is responsible for extra melanin production. Unlike other lightening treatments, the Bryght treatment targets only the darkened areas, and does not lighten other areas of the skin. Additionally, the treatment uses all-natural plant-based ingredients that are gentle enough for sensitive skin. In most cases, the Bryght treatment can be performed during the same session as your waxing making Bryght the perfect complement to waxing services!
The Bryght treatment uses an LED wand that is painless and heat-free, using low-level light in various wavelengths to accomplish the desired result. There are four steps to the Bryght treatment, which include:
Cleanse: Gently removes traces of dirt, creams, lotions, or oils that are found in the skin, while naturally numbing and preparing the skin for steps 2-4.
Exfoliate: Preps, polishes, and refines the skin, revealing a more even skin tone. Contains an antioxidant-rich combination of brightening ingredients.
Bryghten: Treats and prevents hyperpigmentation with its unique combination of plant extracts to illuminate and reveal natural skin tone.
Set: Locks in and seals steps 1-3 while cooling the skin.
The Bryght treatment works on all skin tones because, unlike skin bleaching, it only targets excess melanin. While many clients see results after the first treatment, optimal results are usually seen after 3-5 treatments. Bryght can be performed on any part of the body, including face, underarms, bikini area, elbows, knees, and thighs. Waxing the City also offers a Bryght spot treatment that can be used on a small area of hyperpigmentation. Bryght is not recommended for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding due to heightened hormones that may continue to increase hyperpigmentation after the treatment.
